Queen Sonja Opens Hiking Trail

Queen Sonja of Norway opened the “Queen’s Path”, a hiking trail named in her honor in Ullensvang. To inaugurate the trail, which is 766 meters above sea level and provides panoramic views of the fjord far below, Sonja wore a smart red outdoor hat.

  1. Queen Sonja doesn’t seem to be afraid to wear these outdoor hats in public. Couple of weeks ago she sported her trusty yellow sydvest again. Since it was raining and one doesn’t want to ruins one’s hair you know… 😀

  2. Its nice to see other outdoor activities being supported by royals, not just national competitive sports. Hiking is something almost everyone can take part in and enjoy.
