Princess Mary Trains With the Home Guard

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark participated in training exercises with the Home Guard on the island of Bornholm today (she holds the rank of Lieutenant in the Danish Army and has been a member of the Home Guard since 2008). The hats were not overly exciting but since we seldom see royal women in military hats, I thought it would be fun to share.

  1. I really like that she is so engaging in what she does and this hat is so cute on her, makes her looks like a high school girl trying out for rock climbing in gym class. I like this hat on her and the color also.

  2. of course cp mary looks good doing anything, but there is no way I would have climbed that rock,it did not stop her, this is why she is my very favorite royal along with cp federick. I know while he was away for so long all the wonderful events she accomplished he has to be very proud of her,i am very much. by the way since he has gotten home from IOC in Argentina I have not seen one picture of him and mary together at all, much less a singular picture of just federik, love them both a lot for a numerous reasons, they have not let me down one time when they are together, they out shine ant other royal couple.

    • Let’s please keep the discussion to hats rather than who our favourite royals are or their daily movements. There are plenty of other forums where the personal merits of each royal can be debated but please- not here. This blog is all about the millinery!

  3. Looks like she fully participated. I would have went no where NEAR that rope. She looks good in almost anything and the military hats are no exception. She seems to be a very down to earth person.
