Belgian designer Fabienne Delvigne designed a saddle hat topped with ribbon trim that we have seen on two royal heads- Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden wore a straw version in bubblegum pink while Queen Mathilde wore a wool version in terra cotta. As the ribbon trim on Princess Victoria’s hat formed a stylized heart, I thought this would be an interesting poll for Valentine’s Day. The question remains, Who Wore It Best?

This poll will remain open until February 15 and as always, you are welcome to vote as many times as you wish.

I saw this on Mathilde first, and loved it, but I think the lighter straw fabric works even better. Have to give this to Victoria.
I like the lightness of the straw on this hat.
No contest there, Queen Mathilde wore it the best, why, the color really suits her and the way she is wearing the hat shows her beautiful face to perfection. She is one very classy and chic lady!
I loved this hat on Mathilde when I saw it posted a few months ago, but surprised myself by slightly preferring it on CP Victoria for this poll. It is excellent in straw and looks really good on her.
This IS interesting, because I very much prefer the hat in a lighter fabric such as Crown Princess Victoria is wearing. I find the wool too heavy and oppressive for this hat size.
It is so interesting how different materials (wool vs. straw) can make the same style of hat look so different. I prefer this hat made in wool although I would prefer it in blue or green.
