It has been a very quiet week in royal hats this week. Next week things will liven up with a state visit to France and the Nobel Prizes (which always include Scandinavian royal hats and tiaras) are right around the corner. Today, I’m taking advantage of the quiet to make a number of designer confirmations – the following hats worn by Queen Máxima over the past two years were all made by Fabienne Delvigne:
We are all often tough on Delvigne designs (especially the open topped ones) but this group of varied and beautiful designs. Please click on each photo to link to the original post which includes photo credits.
I know I’m extremely harsh on the circlet hats favored by Maxima, but I enjoyed seeing the variety of Fabienne Delvigne hats here. My absolute favorite is the oversized lampshade hat in fuschia. I always think Maxima rocks a wide brim best, and the Delvigne wide brims are certainly gorgeous!
Wow! this shows a breadth of work that is to be admired. I like most of them, love some of them. Ignoring the doughnut ones and pretending they do not have open crowns. They are so many styles – impressive.
