The Danish Royal Family was represented by Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. Queen Margrethe repeated the lovely purple dress and hat worn earlier this year for both the Opening of Danish Parliament and her Ruby Jubilee Service.

Princess Mary also recycled a grey asymmetrical brimmed hat designed by Susanne Juul she wore to the opening of Dutch Parliament in 2009. Last time, I thought it was a little bland (perhaps because it was worn with an austere black dress). This time, however, I LOVE THIS HAT! It’s a fantastic shape for Mary and looks wonderful with her burgundy suit and the ruby earrings from her parure set (modified here with large grey pearl drops). So glamorous and super chic.
