question: similar to the fedora, i have long liked the rancher-type style that seems indigenous to Australia. i think zara tindal has worn such a hat, usually on more casual occasions. does it have a specific name?
@ROZmandelcorn To answer your question, I think you're referring to Australian leather hats. I understand the first brand to make these with their distinct, re-shapable brims was Bill Conner Hats https://t.co/u5toJcAjGQ
I’ve fallen in love with Princess Anne’s navy blue asymmetrical crowned homburgh..
Is there anyone who sells a similar hat?
I learned a lot from this glossary and the pictures! Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas 🙂

As an Australian, I can tell you that style of hat is made by a company called Akubra (Ah-koo-bruh) and we therefore call this iconic hat an “Akubra”.
Really like this section – just found it!!
Which kind of hat does Princess Beatrix wear? Sometimes I think she has a style all to herself with those amazing hats!
Good question. I’ll return to answer this question after we look at the remaining hat types!
I think a lot of them would be classified as cocktail hats
Hmmm… I can’t think of any cocktail hats that Princess Beatrix has worn in the past decade. Perhaps you are thinking of Princess Beatrice of York?
