Queen Máxima of the Netherlands arrived at the Eindhoven Air Base this morning to visit the youth musical project, Young Musicians Spread Their Wings, an initiative of the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Air Force). She repeated another one of her charcoal grey hats- this one with a squared edges, a tall crown, and diagonal lines. Looking at this hat, I can’t take my eyes off the downward bulge in the brim (right above Máxima’s eyes)- a minor issue perhaps, but an annoying one nonetheless. I think I prefer the other charcoal grey hat she paired with this dress and coat the last time she wore it. What do you think of this hat?

Oh my GOSH! Maxima is rocking it, almost 100%! I was so hugely amazed and impressed, because I think she looks fantastic, until I saw the shoes, but I digress; this is one heck of a look! Wide-brimmed hats off to Maxima!
I have a hard time taking this style of hat seriously. Nonetheless, it was pared well.
This does look tall – if fact it looks as though it isn’t pulled quite far enough down on Maxima’s head. Also I think it does rather appear as though it can’t quite keep its shape properly – there are several shallow bulges or dents in it, which catch the light because of the velvety surface. So while I like big picture hats, I don’t think this is a particularly good example.
The hat is great, so stylish, and I’m so pleased to see Max in smart-looking, lower heels. These poor royal women who do so many events – lots of standing and walking – must have such sore feet with the high heels they’re always pictured in.
I like her hat, even though it’s a bit tall, the color is so nice on her. I like her entire outfit and her earrings. What a happy delightful person she must be, it’s always nice to see her choices in hats and clothes………just love her!
I think she was trying to make it frame her face as nicely as the other hat did by wearing it high on the crown of her head. Unfortunately, this makes the crown look too tall for her face.
However, she always appears to be enjoying the hat she is wearing and takes lovely fotos, so I find it hard to fault her.
I too prefer the hat worn previously. The crown is too high in today’s hat, although in pictures 2 and 4 it looks good.
I think the top part of the hat (the part on her head) is too high but other than that it’s a nice hat. She always looks so happy and confident.
