The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are currently visiting Columbia, the first leg of their South American tour. Today, while visiting the Gold Museum in Cartagena, they were presented with an opportunity to try on a the traditional Colombian sombrero vueltiaoThe resulting photograph is just too delightful not to share!

  1. Camilla could actually wear this hat for an engagement in Britain, I think, it really suits her. Of course Charles could wear it for an engagement in Britain too, but it might cause rather more comment…

  2. So cute! And to jamimid – I have a 22″ strand of pearls just like her’s I got after Mikimoto started up again after WWII

  3. They are really a lovely couple and both of them to wear off a good hat perfectly. And they share a great humour! Thumbs up!

  4. This is probably my favorite Royal couple of all. They always look so happy, and like they are having fun together, in the same way that Queen Mathilde and King Phillipe do. That is another of my favorite Royal couples along with the crown princely couple from Denmark. I have never seen them in sombreros though, so I will give the nod to HRH and the Duchess. She dresses very nicely and I too would love to have her pearls, although I would settle for having half of her joie de vivre! Thanks for posting this fun picture. They are totally rocking those hats.
