Belgian Royal Couple Visit Germany

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium arrived in Berlin this morning for an official one-day visit to Germany.

Queen Mathilde debuted a new hat – a beret/cap wrapped in pleated red fabric and trimmed with a stylized loop bow.

Sometimes, Mathilde’s monochrome ensembles seem overly matched but the mix of textures in this one really made it work. On it’s own, this hat is not one of my favourites but it complimented her dress and suit quite nicely. What do you think?

Zara Philips at Barbury Races

Zara Phillips brought her daughter Mia to the Barbury point-to-point races in Wiltshire today. For the races, where two of her horses were competing, Zara wore the same warm knit hat we saw on her in January and December.

Princess Anne in St. Petersburg

After enjoying a few days at the Sochi Winter Olympics, Princess Anne traveled to Moscow and St. Petersburg for a number of official events. Today, she and Vice Admiral Laurence paid tribute to the victims of the siege of Leningrad, (September 1941 to January 1944) with a wreath laid at the Piskariovskoye memorial cemetery. She wore her black fur Russian style hat- it is not my favourite but I honestly can’t think of anything more appropriate for this event.

More Danish Royals Skiing in Switzerland

Just as their relatives did two days ago, Danish Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary posed for photos with their four children today in Verbier, Switzerland. For this annual ski holiday, everyone was again in ski helmets and hats.
