Seen It Before: Recycling (or Inheriting?) Royal Millinery Style

A deja vu  It seems that contemporary times are not the only ones when cocktail hats trimmed in soaring feathers were at the height of fashion. I adore the similarities in millinery (across almost 7 decades) between this royal grandmother and granddaughter.

  1. I love both hats and I’d wear both given the chance. I wish the Queen would wear more hats like this today instead of just her brimmed ones.

  2. Love the vintage photo, Hat Queen! I’m imagining a retrospective featuring other feathered hats since I believe the Countess of Wessex and Princess Michael have a few. Perhaps during the slower hat-wearing months…

  3. If you hold onto something long enough it comes back into fashion! I love both these hats and you can definitely see the Queen’s influence, or a genetic predisposition, in Zara’s hat choices!
