Princess Sirivannavari of Thailand in several stunning hats for a fashion spread in honor of Vogue Thailand’s 5th anniversary
A whole lot of new millinery designs caught my eye this week:
Shocking pink button percher with feather star trim from UK milliner Rosie Olivia
Trilby in the most amazing circular patterned black straw from Australian brand Jill and Jack Millinery
Lovely molded navy straw percher with pleated crin ruffle from Nicola de Selincourt
Black straw halo hat with white waterfall feathers from Melbourne based Chris Mulland Millinery
Beautifully embellished gold bandeau headpieces from Emily London
Cream straw upswept saucer with dramatic spiral trim from Irish milliner Aoife Harrison
Light as air black crin and spiral quill headpiece from New Zealand milliner Claire Hahn
Turquoise straw picture hat with royal blue trim from Bundle McLaren that just POPS
Charming navy straw boater with mustard striped hatband and bows from UK Brand Mind Your Bonce
I couldn’t choose between these two saucers to show in full here so I’ll share both- first is one in cream felt by Prague milliner Jolana Kotábová with beautifully smooth lines. The hand cut felt pompom is a wonderful scale- I adore how it lightens and livens the hat and gives such textural contrast.
The second saucer is from Vivienne Sheriff’s SS 2018 collection with incredible feather work to create a watercolour painting effect. It’s proof that subtle can still be utterly stunning.

Sorry to hear that Princess Mako’s marriage has been postponed until 2020... or so the official story goes. (Japan Times)
Multiple sources reported yesterday that Prince Henrik of Denmark’s health is deteriorating quickly following diagnosis of a lung tumor and infection. Crown Prince Frederik left South Korea (where he was attending the winter Olympics) to return to Denmark yesterday. Our thoughts and best wishes are with Prince Henrik, Queen Margrethe and the entire Danish royal family during this time.
You’ve probably already seen this stunning three generation photo, taken at the Nobel Prize Ceremony in December but released by the Swedish monarchy this week. It’s worth a second look.
