Princess Beatrix has attended 35th Program Managers Broadcast jubilee conference yesterday in Rotterdam. For this event, she wore a large chocolate straw hat with upturned brim and square crown wrapped in a contrasting caramel straw stripe. Like Queen Máxima’s outfit yesterday, this was a lot of chocolate brown for one ensemble but there’s something about this hat that I think looks beautiful on Princess Beatrix. What are your thoughts on this chapeau?

It is beautiful, somehow it just works with her complexion and makes her look about 10 years younger.

I like the upturned brim on this hat. Sometimes her hats look like giant cakes but the brim saves this one! I also like her necklace.

I like the two tones of choc. in the hat. Sometimes with camera angles just right (or may I should say wrong)..her crowns of her hats get into my head that it’s got that same flair out at the crest edge that looks like the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland. The brown she has on her body looks like it might be a wrap or like – maybe with a full length shot one would see the pattern of her dress and break up that dark chocolate.
