Nowegian Royals Preside Over Nobel Prize

King Herald Queen Sonja of Norway hosted the Nobel Peace Prize award yesterday. Queen Sonja repeated one of her more interesting hats- a hard shelled black brimless hat with pointed crown and sequinned sides (see a better photo of it during a previous wearing here). I am not usually a fan of hats with pointed crowns but this hat, which seems like a variation of a beret, somehow works. At the very least, it’s interesting and I think the sequined side of the hat is great fun and makes the simple shape of this hat look a little more formal. What do you think?

  1. I like it better this time than in the previous wearing. I think it looks good with her red jacket. This hat really suits Queen Sonja and the sequins add a bit of festive fun to the occasion.
