Sunday Morning at Sandringham

Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh went to Sunday morning service this morning at St. Mary Magdalene’s Church near Sandringham this morning. The Queen repeated her beautiful turquoise hat with black trim and side bloom. This is the seventh time we have seen the Queen wear this hat- I suspect she loves it as much as we do on her.

Lady Brabourne walked with the Duke of Edinburgh to church. Penny wore a charcoal grey wool winter picture hat with maroon velvet sash around the crown and a mushroom-style brim. Her daughter, Alexandra Knatchbull, wore a simple black hat with rolled brim.

    • She looks beautiful in turquoise. This hat is one of my favorites. I also love the other hat. We don’t see many hats this shape do we?

  1. This is a perfect outfit for the Queen: bright colors to stand out, coupled with black for her ever-present black accessories. The hat matches the dress and coat but has yet its own personality in terms of using the black hat trim in different proportions and thicknesses from the black dress trim. I don’t mind the Queen’s repeating this hat form since it’s not bizarrely sloped, not uneven on the top, not exceedingly wide, not brimless.

  2. Oh, Baroness Brabourne is just elegant. Love her entire outfit and that hat is so lovely.
The Queen looked very nice in her turquoise hat and coat. Once again, it seems the same hat form, just trimmed litle differently.
