Princess Alexandra Makes Centenary Visit to Ribble Valley

Princess Alexandra visited Black Moss, Thornley yesterday to celebrate and repeat the visit her great grandmother, Queen Alexandra, made exactly 100 years before. Princess Alexandra planted a horse chestnut tree (just as Queen Alexandra did) and attended a charity lunch in her honour. For this historic engagement, Alexandra wore a velvet hat trimmed in fur. It is a similar hat to ones we have seen on the Duchess of Cornwall but somehow, Alexandra looks elegant and polished. After an extended sick leave last year, it is lovely to see her looking so well.

  1. I don’t know about this one. The coat looks like beautifully tailored green velvet and the hat looks like a bit of an afterthought. It is nice to see Princess Alexandra again however.

  2. So nice to see Princess Alexandra back after her illness. She visited Australia when I was young, I thought she was so beautiful than and still do now.
