Princess Anne attended the Sandown racecourse on Friday in Esher, England. She wore a dark fur hat we have seen numerous times on her before. Fashionable? Not really. But these fur hats are one of Anne’s signature looks and when it comes to royal hats, signature looks usually trump fashion.

being an animal lover and detesting people who wear fur, i usually rant over fur coats and hats.
with a few exceptions …
when i assume that these pieces were made before cruelty in animal farming became a widespread information to everybody. which in the case of princess anne we all can assume, since most of her wardrobe / accesories dates back 3 decades or so. so i’ll give her a pass for wearing her 70’s leftovers.
on a lighter note: she so very much resembles her mother, as she grows older. stunning resemblance.
