The Headwear Association, the oldest trade association in the fashion industry (established in 1908), announced six inductees into their hall of fame this year. Five of the six inductees were actors or musicians, while the sixth was someone we know all too well here on Royal Hats :

What a funny association and what an odd grouping of folks they have inducted – some of them are not even known for wearing hats ongoing – but where a one-off event type hat like Aretha’s for the Pres. Inauguration. – it was a ‘something’ hat, but geeeze – that does not put her into any hat icon group in my book! QEII is in hats chronically – and has been a hat style icon for more than 60 years now – seems odd they only now are putting her in – but looking at the list – most are in the movie star/rock star/music category vs. royals
