Princess Eugenie of York celebrates her 24th birthday today. Some of you may recall that one of the royal hat highlights of 2013 was the millinery makeover we watched evolve for Princess Eugnie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice. While Eugenie’s millinery wardrobe contains some wonderful designs from Neraida Fraiman, Stephen Jones, Philip Treacy Sarah Cant, and Robyn Coles, there is another designer I would love to see her in- British milliner Raina Lehmann. Her highly artistic hats are such a great fit for Eugenie’s style and burgeoning career in the auction world. Wouldn’t this round dish cocktail hat with hand-dyed flower sprays be breathtaking on Princess Eugenie?

I was not familiar with his milliner but she has some very nice hats. I think every young girl should have a dressy fedora in her closet. Fedoras always look so smart over a raincoat. Eugenie once wore a lovely green hat and she looked very good in green.

Some of these hats are too big and flashy in my opinion (like the Philip Treacy ones). What is wrong with a nice red beret with a simple bow? Eugenie wears red very well. This hat with a black coat and you have the perfect outfit for Christmas.

I believe this hat was made by Karen Geraghty. I like the black leather cord in the middle of the bow- a striking touch. Princess Eugenie does love berets and this one would be wonderful on her.
I am mesmerized with this tasteful, stylish beret and its rich color. What a great idea to pair it with a black coat for a Christmas look. Add in red gloves and voilà! At $90, entirely doable. I’d love to walk around Paris like this. Although we’re a bit off topic for a birthday hat for Princess Eugenie since she has a spring birthday. Well, I blame the hats… they can often lead me astray.
I think Jane Taylor’s hats are gorgeous and would look good on anyone. My choice for Princess Eugenie is this dark pink beret kind of hat. I think she likes to wear berets and this one is a little fancier than the ones she usually wears.

The blue flowered hat you choose is just beautiful! And it is a British made hat so this is good for Princess Eugenie because I do not think the British royal family likes to wear hats that are not made by a British designer. And it is so artistic and creative but not avant garde. Beautiful!

I think Princess Eugenie looks beautiful in classic hats with a larger brim. This Gina Foster has a more modern shape but I think the classic feel would be so pretty on her

Royal Hats Blog, you have really hit this one out of the park. This hat is exquisite! The color is a delicious shade of blue, and the touches of pink are perfection… without that, it would be “just” a blue hat. The flowers that sweep all the way around the back make you gorgeous coming and going. I LOVE this hat. (I’ll stop gushing here…)

I love Philip Treacy hats but I think his large picture hats would be too overwhelming for Princess Eugenie (sorry to say but she does not seem to have the height or confidence to carry them off). The smaller ones like the pink one above or the two below are as big as I think she can carry off.
Sophie has a very similar hat in pink. I like it better in pink
