The second leg of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik’s summer cruise continued today with a stop in Livo Harbour. For this very casual trip to shore, the Queen wore jeans and a bright red headscarf. I don’t believe there is any fashion commentary to be made about the headscarf and am posting this just to celebrate the relaxed nature of this event. Can you remember the last time you saw a queen in jeans? I also love that Queen Margrethe matched her headscarf to her socks. Her sense of fashion includes a healthy sense of humour which is so much fun to see.

They’re on holiday and having fun. Nice. Her socks and headscarf are great (tied in such a jaunty fashion too), but his trousers, not there’s dash!

I love this woman!
I think she is special. This reminds me of women on TV in the 1950’s. It seems like the kind of look they would put together, when they wouldn’t have the time to “do” their hair. Similar to an episode which aired today on retro TV, with Beaver and his family at the summer cabin on the lake.
Should be wearing rollers under a scarf like that 😀

Say what you will….I’m not convinced that any of our younger royal ladies will ever be able to rock a headscarf!
