This Week’s Extras

Queen Máxima, November 3, 2014 | Royal Hats

I need to begin with a correction- the sand coloured calot hat worn by Queen Máxima in South Korea earlier this week seen at the right was not made by Fabienne Delvigne, as I originally reported. My apologies for this miscommunication.

  1. I agree with what jamiemid says. It was nice to see so many regal families enjoying themselves, and the Imperial ladies of Japan and their kimonos looked great. “This Week’s Extras” was a great idea.

  2. Thanks for the Extras links HatQueen. I loved the Japanese Imperial family in their kimonos especially.

  3. Wow, I managed to hit post while I was still typing. That level of crazy is embarrassing! I wanted to say that it is always a delight to see Grand Duc Henri and his family out and about, and they are delightful. The level of love and loyalty they have for each other is amazing. I also enjoyed the pictures of Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, and the children. They always seem very happy and friendly. Also, love the Imperial ladies and their kimonos. A lot of traditions are dying out in the world, but the Imperial family and Japan manage to embrace the future and honor the past at the same time. It is nice to see.

  4. My grandfather was originally from Luxembourg, so I have a special fondness for the Grand Duc and his family
