  1. Being of Finnish ancestry, I enjoyed seeing the photos of the Swedish royals in Finland. The photo of the Downton Abbey visit by the Mexican First Lady and Countess of Wessex was very attractive, Sophie especially. It was particularly refreshing to see the Swedish and Norwegian royals enjoying a casual dinner together – almost like the rest of us, probably not.

  2. This Week’s Extras was loaded with interesting stuff HatQueen. I was pleased that the Swedish and Norwegian Royals had a chance to spend time together over a meal. They must be a good support network for one another which they would need, considering they live under the constant scrutiny of the media and public. I enjoyed the photos from the Duke of Cambridge’s tour of China. The Countess of Wessex and the Mexican First Lady looked chic on their visit to Downton Abbey set. I was interested to read about QE2’s friendship with her milliner, the late Philip Somerville. He made some of her best hats. RIP Philip Somerville.
