  1. This is one of the best hats and hairstyles that I have ever seen on this Queen. I hope that she dons more pillboxes.

  2. She looks so poised and elegant and respectful. Her hat is gorgeous. Sometimes I think her hats are way too far over the top but this one is gorgeous.

  3. I like Queen Máxima’s felt rounded pillbox hat with bow and it was just right for this occasion. I liked that her hair was neatly styled. I like a good pillbox, and this is definitely one of those. Those pearl earrings are really lovely and had a retro look which complimented the pillbox.

  4. I don’t like the cut of the dress so much, I don’t find it to be too flattering on her. But it is all very appropriate and it is always touching to see how sad she is. She can be so radiant and have huge smiles on her face, it makes me all the more sad to see pictures like the ones we have today.

  5. Like Jamiemid said, I like the pillbox hat not only for its nostalgia but for its simplicity. Gransgirl was also correct in saying Maxima wears her feelings/enthusiasm in her demeanor. Both she and her husband, King Wilhem-Alexander, presented themselves appropriately.

  6. Flawless! And I just love the way she wears her feelings/enthusiasm for events right along with her hats. Definitely on my short list of royals I’d like to meet.

  7. Her hair, hat and outfit were spot on. Very attractive and very much in keeping with the event. When she gets it right, she gets it right. She has done some amazing hats this year. As a child of the 60’s, I will always like a good pillbox.
