A memorial service for the victims of 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake took place in Tokyo yesterday. Princess Hisako of Takamado attended the event, wearing her simple simple black bumper hat with tightly upfolded brim, black net veil and small bow at the back. With her streamlined dove grey dress, I thought her elegant ensemble hit just the right note for the occasion (no surprise as she wore the same thing to this event last year).

I like the hat, dress, earrings and accessories too, but this is too understated a look to repeat so soon.
I don’t think repeating an outfit once a year is too soon. This is very elegant.
Princess Hisako of Takamado always looks very elegant. I like the hat and the dress very much. It might have been better if she hadn’t worn exactly the same thing 2 years running though.
Everything she does is all right with me, even wearing the same outfit two years running. She’s one of my very favorites, and I’m glad that she’s active enough to be covered here fairly often. The dress and hat are, as always with her, totally approptiate.
