The month of May brought us numerous garden parties, state visits and hat wearing engagements that saw eleven repeated designs receive specific acclaim from you, dearest readers. As we continue to count down our favourite hats of 2016, it is now time to face off these eleven beauties and last month’s winner.

With a busy calendar of royal events coming up in June (and an extra set of polls for Ascot hats), we’re going to condense this voting period to 10 days and remain open only until Sunday, June 12. Each computer or mobile device may vote once every 12 hours for as many hats as strike your fancy. To avoid unnecessary influence, results will remain hidden until the poll closes. I think you will find this to be tougher choice than in months past- Good luck!

Royal Hats 
My favorite repeat isn’t listed – the Duchess of Cambridge wore a lovely cream Jane Taylor to the garden party on the 24th. Although I wish she’d wear more substantial hats, that one is just perfection to me!
With so many hats worn in May, I’m afraid that only the ones with widespread approval made it to the poll. Unfortunately, your favourite received mixed opinion!
