Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako were in Kashiwa City yesterday to open a new public park. Perhaps in reference to her husband’s speech at the event (he talked a lot about how important green spaces are to nurture people), the Crown Princess topped her green suit with a cream hat. Trimmed in a matching green hat band, the design of this piece featured a squared crown and slightly upturned brim. It’s a simple piece but one that is well suited to both Princess Masako and engagements such as this.

What do you think of Princess Masako’s green trimmed hat (for a very green event!) yesterday?

Sweet.
I agree, this is a great hat and nice to see this green on Masako; it suits her very well. I was most interested to see Naruhito is a light-colored suit (and double-breasted jacket no less!), which I can’t ever recall see for the Japanese royals. Great looks for them both!
I wouldn’t mind a little angle on the hat, but she wears it well as is. Lovely.
How nice to see the Crown Princess out and about. Her outfit is ideal for the occasion and she looks lovely.
Princess Masako looks absolutely lovely!
Yes. The Crown Princess looks great and it is a beautiful color on her.
Beautiful hat, very suitable for the occasion and for its wearer. Agree with Shannon’s comment above!
She looks lovely! It’s so nice to see her at engagements again.
