March brought us an unexpected number of new royal hats, thanks to the Cheltenham festival, Commonwealth events and several high profile state visits. Lucky for us, there were a number of these new designs which, based on your comments, stood out as particularly outstanding millinery designs. Twelve such hats make the list for favourite new design to debut in March and from these twelve, it is now time to choose a winner.

It certainly looks like the brim is from the same hat block, doesn’t it? I think the crown is a slightly different shape- Queen Mathilde’s looks a little higher.
