Princess Beatrix was in Nieuwegein on Saturday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dutch Parkinson Association, held in conjunction with World Parkinson’s Day 2017. She wore a new hat for the event in dark blue straw, trimmed with a wide pale blue straw hatband and loop at the side. The colour scheme gives nice contrast to the piece and coordinated very nicely with her ensemble.

Typical Trixie, but the color is lovely and goes well with her outfit! She’s just so great!
These blues are absolutely beautiful for Beatrix! The hat is a good one for her too, although I do miss some of the more interesting millinery of her time at Queen, but I suppose it’s to be expected she would be more subdued in her time post-reign.
What first struck me was the color which is fantastic and on the cape/shawl. The princess looks lovely!
Very attractive! Everything about this outfit obviously was chosen with care and with Princess Beatrix’s style in mind. The color combination is a winner, and the new hat tops the outfit off perfectly.
I love all of it! Makes me think of Delft blue. She looks smashing!
I like everything! Hat, dress, cape, earrings, etc, and the smile!
A very nice hat for the PrincessQueen. Somewhat smaller in scale than the ‘cake’ hats, but in the same vein. I love the colors on her! She looks wonderful.
I do like this hat – even if it is so like so many of her hats – nice color and I love her earrings – they look like they might be chalcedony
Even though the hat is new, it seems very much a Beatrix hat. She knows what she likes and what suits her, and she has her own style. I really like the color, and it looks good on her. I also like her earrings. I’m all about the accessories.
I love, love, love the photo of Princess Beatrix with the lipstick on her front tooth. Let’s us all know that, just like for us, for her too the struggle is real! Such a lovely person. (Great hat too!)
me too makes her human , totally agree
The second to last photo of her is lovely. I do like this hat.
