Princess Benedikte At International Plant Fair

Princess Benedikte was in Essen, Germany,  yesterday to attend the opening of the International Plant Fair (IPM) and to unveil a new variety of rose. For this event, she wore a new black felt hat with gently rounded crown and flat brim, simply trimmed with a black Petersham ribbon hatband.

  1. This hat looks rather severe to me– perfect for a somber occasion. It’s not what I would have expected from this Princess at an event involving roses. I’ve come to associate Princess Benedicte with more colorful, artistic hats. But this hat is modern, I suppose- similar to the blue hat worn recently by Princess Charlene, appears to go very well with her outfit, and is suitable for winter. So overall a good choice.

  2. Perfect hat and she looks like the perfect princess. It is always a pleasure to observe her perform her royal duties in a flawless manner.

  3. A nice hat with a modern feel.
Now, having seen her in that fabulous purple hat with the leopard print band, I’d like to see this hat worn with a more interesting coat. A leopard print one would do just fine!
