Today is the day Prince Harry will marry the lovely Meghan Markle. There will be many hats to discuss and for those of you who don’t want to wait for feature posts, I’m opening up a live post here (and tweeting up a storm here) for all millinery related royal wedding discussion. So many beautiful hats. Thank you, HQ and all the other posters for offering up these shots for us to drool over. My favorite hats were those worn by Kitty Spencer, Amal Clooney, and Sofia Wellesley, with Amal Clooney’s being my favorite overall outfit. I didn’t think I would ever say too much purple, but I have to admit Karen Spencer’s look was a bit much for my taste. The dark purple seems too wintry for that sunlit May morning.
Can’t wait for the posts on the wedding hats. Noticed alot if the guests had veils on their hats. Is that a new trend?
SOOOO much to examine here, but overall, everyone looks very good. HQ, are you following up with a detailed post once you recover and maybe get some sleep?

Love the clasp on HM’s coat. Not sure about the colour for a wedding but she’s 92 and Queen so can do what she likes!
The front closure is great, and leaves the bottom part of the coat open to reveal the dress which is always a good thing!

This is probably the best I’ve seen The Duchess look in a long time – she’s even wearing make-up. I like the color of her dress with the pink accents and, I like her hat but the shape of the hat, in this photo, just looks odd.
Sarah Ferguson arrived. Navy blue. Hat interesting. Outfit ordinary.
It looks like a navy tailored dress with jacket with pink collar & cuffs. I think it’s sharp!
The fit annoys me. It could have been more flattering IMHO.

It would be lovely to see what Oprah’s hat would look like without the feather duster. I know Mr. Treacy is in full tilt boogie feather mode at the moment (smile).
The hat is gorgeous but, sadly, imo, she looks like a stuffed sausage.

I thought Carole Middleton looked lovely – from her hat, to her jewelry, to her shoes. The color of her outfit is such a beautiful shade of aqua and is so complementary to her skin tone.

Personally, there wasn’t anything Amal Clooney wore that I liked. The color yellow was over the top in brightness, the matchy-matchy of her dress and hat was too much especially since her dress with the side train was strange.
Not keen on Amal’s flap of fabric. Hat nice though.

Lady Kitty Spencer was probably the best dressed of anyone, other than The Duchess of Sussex, of course. She is a stunning young woman anyway, but she looked beautiful on Saturday.

I thought Chelsy Davy looked horrible. Her hair looked unkept, and I don’t know if wearing her cocktail hat over her eyebrow would have improved her overall appearance.

The dress was made overnight by Stella McCartney’s team after it was feared that Oprah’s planned cream dress would read too “white” on camera. I liked it and thought it went really well with the hat.

She is absolutely stunning, and her outfit was gorgeous but it was a lot of purple with nothing to break the color. Luckily she wore nude/beige heels with a beige purse.

I saw photos from Thursday where the florist was loading their vans/trucks with flowers/greenery, etc. for the wedding. Loved seeing the after photos of their hard work. Absolutely breath taking.
