  1. Lovely picture of baby Princess Akko in a sun bonnet. Cute bangs and chubbies in one package. I too can’t wait until the princess is 18 and will start wearing hats! Looking forward to another Japanese Princess growing up. I think it’s too bad that she won’t be Empress in her own right one day but that’s not the way they roll in the Imperial Household Agency. Gotta be a boy to inherit the throne. That’s too bad, in this day and age you’d think things would be different. And there IS precedent cuz there have been several Empresses regnant thru the centuries. But I digress from hats. Cute baby, cute bonnet!

  2. I love this family ! … especially Prince Naruhito – even when he went to engagements on his own – he always walked proudly with a big smile ! I’m so glad Princess Masako is feeling able to grace us with her lovely smile.and cute hats !! and the baby of course isn’t a baby any longer but I look forward to seeing her wearing special hats now she’s getting older ! 😊
