I saw the queen around this time in a turquoise hat with a peep hole brim, which showed the floral trim through the hole.
These hats always fascinate me. There is something very charming with the way the bow appears to pas through the brim of the hat. As James says, it is very 80’s, but in a good way. That doesn’t often happen with that decade and fashion.
Remember this so well! After the success of her hat at the York wedding she had a couple more of these stunners made; they were very on trend for her at the time and she looked very elegant; not something you can say for a lot of her late 80s outfits!
