to this day in 1997, 23 years ago. Princess Christina of Sweden attended the unveiling of a monument dedicated to Raoul Wallenberg in an ivory wool cloche with sidesweeping mini-brim and a mass of ivory looped bows on the side. I love it when a small hat in a neutral colour makes a strong statement, as this one did!

Just saw this in a retrospective of Princess Alexandra and had to share it. There’s rope trim and then there’s ROPE TRIM.

I saw the same retrospective mittenmary! This rope trim is something else.
I adore her hat and outfit from 1969 in Singapore.

So 60s!
I really love this hat on Princess Christina! This is one I’d wear!
HQ, thinking of you. I hope you’re doing okay.
I give this hat a thumbs up!
Princess Eugenie posted a throwback pic of her and her husband from August 2010
Princess Hisako attended the 2019 Hockey Japan League awards ceremony on February 17 2020.
Thanks Maja. I really like Princess Hisako’s hat, it’s so unusual and sculptural.
Hello Hatqueen! how lovely to see your post; wishing you strength.
This photo of the Princess is gorgeous – and such a fine and interesting winter hat!
I love this hat. The loops imitate an ostrich plume, but with more weight, suited to the blanket style coat the hat was worn with. The multi-coloured scarf ties the outfit together nicely.
Great observation about the ostrich-plume look. I share your love of this sweet hat.
Well said! I’m with you and mittenmary. This hat is a timeless delight!
