Philip Treacy’s mulberry trilby- now that is one gorgeous hat!
Thank you HatQueen for this wonderful selection of hats and thank you for figuring my XXL boater.
I agree with Shanon about Australian millinery: stunning it is, a feast for the eyes.
Tiffany Arey’s extraordinary leather “barbed wire” bandeau is part of an online exhibition that is worth visiting. You can find it on the Instagram account of the US Milliners Guild. All hats are inspired by women who fought for the universal right to vote. A firm statement at a time when voting seems more important than ever in the United States.
CONGRATULATIONS Wies on your hat winning Palma Hat Week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Shannon! Will share pictures later. And story!
HatQueen – what a thrill to be mentioned here among so many outstanding hats. Thank you! Your daily hat posts and detailed notes always make my day and bring a smile. Thank you for keeping us inspired!
Wies – thank you for your lovely comment and for sharing the news about the US Milliners Guild virtual exhibit. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to honor the women’s suffrage movement through our craft! 💜🤍💛
Happy Birthday to Empress Emerita Michiko! She looks happy and healthy (along with the Emperor Emerita).
I did enjoy the outing with King Carl Gustaf, CP Victoria and Princess Estelle. I think CP Victoria even wore a beige bow in her ponytail.
Did you see that Maud Behn, Princess Martha-Louise of Norway’s daughter, won the Norwegian “Bravest Woman of the Year Award” for the speech at her father’s funeral, speaking about mental health. It’s nice to see this young activist promoting this. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGvw6lpggfK/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
– I love the claret felt looped percher with twists and silk rose by Dillon Wallwork. I thought it would look lovely on the Duchess of Gloucester or Princess Anne. I’m not sure we’ve seen either Royal in that color.
– The stuff coming out of Australia is nothing short or spectacular. Their talent and imagination are incredible. I’m just wowed by wired headpiece of pink crin and metallic ribbon by Australian milliner Rebecca Share. That would look incredible at Ascot on Princess Haya.
– Princess Charlene or Princess Marie for the vintage inspired rolled edge black felt percher with crin bows by Laura Del Villaggio
– I absolutely love the shape of the loden green felt fedora with orange stitched leaves by Siana Yewdall. I think this style looks great on Princess Anne.
– Fabulous, luxurious color on the mulberry felt trilby with velvet layered hatband by Philip Treacy. I can see this color on the Duchess of Cornwall.
– The bold boater hat covered with reverse navy & cream zebra prints by Jettah & Till Design Millinery is made for Princess Beatrice. Love it!
– Countess of Wessex for the layered pink and grey sinamay oversize saucer with grey feather dahlias by UK brand Stephanie Elizabeth Millinery
– Duchess of Cambridge or Zara Tindall for the lovely grey and magenta plaid button percher with felt leaves by French milliner Jeannie Clark
Lovely pictures of this week’s royal events, especially Carl Gustav in his smart hat and accessorised by ladies in camel!
