Sadly, there were no royal hats at the races today. Instead, I thought we might share the other hats we noticed at the races.
The first hat that jumped out to me this morning was this petrol blue (my favourite colour!) straw bandeau with feathers by Sarah Cant, worn by ITV Racing stylist Sarah Kate Byrne.
What hats stood out to you at Royal Ascot today?

Love this Rachel Trevor Morgan hat on Jemima Wilson. The entire look is sensational, right down to the seafoam shoes that match the leaves on the hat.
I don’t know who Susan Bender is but she has been killing it at Ascot this week!

She’s a contributing editor to British Vogue. Her suit is Lisou London and her hat, Victoria Grant.
I didn’t know who she was either, but she is absolutely stunning and has fabulous fashion sense. This entire look, along with Awon Golding in red yesterday, are my favorite Ascot 2021 looks.

Really like the yellow hat and complete outfit. Fun umbrella.
Francesca Cumani in a Catherine Walker coat and Justine Bradley-Hill yellow flower hat. The pairing of the pieces is really unexpected.
Milliner Ian Bennett in top hat and patriotic face mask.

Can it be Royal Ascot with no royals? 😉

It was interesting seeing the rain fashions at Ascot for once, like on the O’Brien family of trainers:

. . . and all the interesting choices of umbrellas. A lot of good ones (a few I preferred over the hats haha), but it’s pretty rare to see both matching colors and pattern with one’s hat and umbrella!

Looks like that very dark shade of green is “in”.
