Queen Elizabeth wore this quirky shaped fuchsia straw hat with yellow trim brim binding and yellow and green stacked hatbands on July 3, 2010 in Canada and July 10, 2015 for the 75th Anniversary of The Battle of Britain in London. Designed by Angela Kelly, it was made by Stella Mclaren.

I really like this. I think it’s a bit of a strong look to be called whimsical, but it does have that air of someone who is confident in whatever she wears and likes to break out occasionally! Perhaps exuberant is the word!
I remember this hat — I really liked (and still like) those sideways feathers in front. An unusual but fun color combination. In my opinion, it looks better with the dress than the jacket — the shade of yellow in the jacket is not as strong as the yellow hatband, so it seems like it doesn’t quite go.
The combination of colors, add to the loveliness of this hat.
There’s a lot going on here, but I kinda love it. I mean who else is going to wear hot pink and yellow together? The shape is definitely exaggerated, and could perhaps do with a bit of deflation at the top, but this hat is a lot of fun.
Another fabulous hat for Queen Elizabeth. It’s just a lot of joy in a hat. I do prefer it with the silk coat rather than the dress plus we can appreciate the gorgeous diamonds of the brooches more easily.
I know Queen’s favourite colour is suppose to be yellow. I guess she does wear it often. Pink goes nicely with it.
the color pink makes this quirky hat very enjoyable
