I remember my Mum telling me about Queen Salote at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. She was an impressive woman, over 6 feet tall and rode in an open carriage in the pouring rain during the procession. What a terrific photo. I suspect the colours are wonderful. Are the stands in the background the one’s that were built for the Coronation procession?
