Lady Gabriella Kingston attended the races on Tuesday with her husband Thomas, Gabriella topping a blue floral dress with a layered blue sinamay saucer hat with fluted wave, trimmed with a large silk rose. It’s a lovely design, although the poorly finished brim edge is very surprising- it has been folded over and machine stitched and there is no additional binding covering the raw edge. A much higher level of finish is expected on any hat, especially a couture one.

I applaud the aqua for trying to pull out the nondominant color in the dress, but in the end it didn’t quite seem to work (although I imagine this likely looked better in person as it feels like these photos wash out and distort the colors a bit), and the shape of this hat is a bit odd. A good effort, but one that manages to just miss the mark.
A pity the finishing on this hat was below par for Lady Gabriella. However, I do love the fact she chose the pale green colour rather than the obvious violet. A bit different.
Overall, I always feel Lady Gabriella looks gorgeous. Another delicious bag and soft pink shoes!
like the hat – really dont like the outfit
Given the price of a Phillip Treacy hat, that’s appalling workmanship
I’m shocked Philip Treacy would let a hat finished like that out of their atelier. Also, I agree, I would have preferred this in a violet shade.
I think I’d like this one better in the violet shade that is more dominant in the print rather than this color.
I agree. Although I can see some aqua in the dress, there doesn’t seem to be enough of it to pick it out for the contrasting hat and bag. I would have prefered a lilac, or blue shade.
The hat is too pale to go with the rest of the outfit however it is a good attempt.
