The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh made their Ascot debut this year on the second day of racing, the Duchess in an ivory picture hat with sidesweeping brim. The brim has a dusky pink bias brim extension and is trimmed with an ivory bow.

The two toned brim is really pretty and showed up in person with more contrast than many of these photos suggest. That being said, I think I’d have preferred this in a slightly more saturated colour for Sophie.

I love this hat on Sophie; the angle, shape, everything just flatters her so well! I do wish her outfit had more color, even though the all-white dress does allow the hat with it’s subdued color scheme to shine more.
