June is always the busiest month of the year for royal hats and this year was no exception. Between foreign visits, weddings, the Order of the Garter service and regular royal engagements, last month we saw a LOT of hats! Fourteen repeated millinery designs stood out to you as particularly impressive, based on your comments, and it is these fourteen that we now face off to pick a single winner that will move on to our year-end contest for best repeated royal hat this year.

After choosing your favourite hats worn to Ascot and the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations, our next pair of polls faces off the remaining royal hats we saw worn in June. Between national days, a Silver Jubilee, weddings and a handful of foreign visits, we saw a number of wonderful new designs. Eleven new hats stood out in particular to you, dearest readers, based on your comments. It’s now time to chose your single favourite.

Simply put, Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday celebrations last month were a royal hat extravaganza. With most members of the British royal family attending both the Service of Thanksgiving and Trooping the Colour, this birthday party was a two day long festival of royal millinery. Twelve designs stood out to you, based on your comments, as stellar pieces. From this dozen, we are going to name our top two favourites to put through to our year-end contest for favourite new royal hat of 2016.
