As we continue to count down our favourite hats of 2016, it is now time to face off these eleven beauties and last month’s winner.

With a busy calendar of royal events coming up in June (and an extra set of polls for Ascot hats), we’re going to condense this voting period to 10 days and remain open only until Sunday, June 12. Each computer or mobile device may vote once every 12 hours for as many hats as strike your fancy. To avoid unnecessary influence, results will remain hidden until the poll closes. I think you will find this to be tougher choice than in months past- Good luck!

With a big birthday celebration, several foreign visits, spring races and Koningsdag, April a busier month for royal hats than previous ones this year. While we saw numerous new pieces, there were a handful that stood out to you, dearest readers, and it’s now time to choose a favourite. I need to also offer an apology here- one hat completely slipped my radar but is such a lovely piece that I have gone off script and included as the fifth hat below.
