We’re continuing to narrow down the top royal hats of 2016 by choosing our favourites pieces every month. March saw five repeated hats stand out to you on the basis of your comments, dearest readers. These lovely pieces are shown here in the order that they were worn.

Best New Royal Hat: March 2016

2016 best new small After a very quiet month of royal hats in February, March buzzed to life with a number of new royal hats thanks to several state visits, the Cheltenham Festival and Easter. From your comments, ten new pieces stood out as particularly successful and now that I’m finally back from vacation, it’s time to choose a winner from these fine finalists.

February’s Top Royal Hats

After looking at the numerous new and repeated royal hats we saw in February, two clear winners have emerged:

That makes Queen Máxima undefeated in favourite repeated designs so far in 2016! 2016 best new small As in years past, February was a very quiet month of royal hats. Amidst this temporary drought, there were new four pieces that stood out as particularly memorable, based on your comments (including, as per your requests, the hat Queen Máxima wore late last month that missed the January poll). With four finalists, it’s now time to choose a winner!
