We’re continuing to narrow down the top royal hats of 2016 by choosing favourites every month. As February was a quiet month of royal millinery, we have just four repeated hats that stood out in particular, based on your comments.
Click on any of the photos below to jump back to original posts with additional photos and information on each design:
Queen Elizabeth in a blue curved brim hat with velvet flower trim by Rachel Trevor Morgan on February 4
Queen Máxima in a Fabienne Delvigne designed charcoal felt slice hat worn on February 16
Queen Elizabeth in her purple hourglass cloche by Angela Kelly to open her namesake train line, February 24
Queen Mathilde in a grey felt Garbo hat by Fabienne Delvigne on February 17
Voting will remain open until March 15 at midnight GMT and each computer or mobile device may vote once per day for as many hats as strike your fancy. For added intrigue, results will remain hidden until the poll closes. Happy voting!

Best Repeated Royal Hat of February 2016 is Queen Máxima’s grey slice hat. She really can wear this big slice hats with aplomb and the grey colour works up against her blonde hair. I also liked Queen Mathilde’s grey Garbo hat for similar reasons. I would like to own both hats. The Best New Royal and Repeated Hats of 2016 monthly polls was a great idea HatQueen and thank you very much for delivering these polls.
Queen Mathilde’s grey Garbo hat for the win! The next best is Queen Máxima’s grey slice hat, then the next down is Queen Elizabeth’s blue hat. I am not a lover of the tall crown on Queen Elizabeth’s purple hourglass hat, so it’s my least favourite hat in this group.
I reckon Queen Mathilde’s grey Garbo hat and the coat worn with it, is one of her best looks of all time!
One of the prettiest of Mathilde’s hats, I think. And the coat is so chic!
