to a famous day, sixty-one years ago tomorrow, which saw Grace Kelly arrive in the principality that would be her new home. She wore the most glamorous wide brimmed, organdie covered white hat and looked every inch the princess she would, a week later, officially become.

to April 8, 1939 and the last Albanian queen, Queen Geraldine, in a wonderful veiled cocktail hat. 78 years on, this piece could easily be worn today.

to this day in 1980 which saw Queen Elizabeth on a visit to Worcester in a veiled emerald green pillbox hat with black bow on the top. The colour is lovely but I’m less certain about that bow.
