King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands continued their official visit to Germany with a visit to the Opel automobile factory in Ruesselsheim today. After a streak of repeated hats, Máxima wore a new one! It is very similar to the hat she wore in Singapore in January (both were designed by Fabienne Delvigne) with a more rounded, streamlined, organic shape in a pale blush pink. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?

Royal Hats 
You win some, you loose some. Love that the new Queen isn trying out some new shapes and hat styles. This one is a little out there and a bit blobby but it’s still lovely on her.
If it was supposed to be organic and nature inspired, it didn’t quite make it. Animal? Mineral? Vegetable? There is no definitive line of descent.
I like this very much, exuberant and stylish, and a nice change.
I like this hat better than the similar one she wore in Singapore. I think the little hat with veil she wore later today was much nicer. These funny shaped hats are a little over the top.
That looks like a big ole conch on her head. No thanks.
