Queen Elizabeth Arrives in Scotland

Queen Elizabeth arrived in Edinburgh yesterday to begin ‘Holyrood Week’, a week of engagements to celebrate Scottish achievement, culture and history. To receive keys to the city from Lord Provost Donald Wilson, the The Queen repeated this beautiful mint green hat with swirled feather trim. This photo does not do this hat justice- check out the linked photos below from one of the other five times Her Majesty has worn this hat. So lovely!

  1. Rachel Trevor Morgan really should get the exclusive gig. Her hats are by far the est on Her Maj: elegant, unfussy, enough interest to add a bit of whimsy. I can’t help feeling Angela Kelly gilds the lily a little too much. Lil clearly agrees on this hat; one of her best ever.

    • I am starting to be able to tell apart the Queen’s hats made by Angela Kelly and the ones made by Rachel Trevor Morgan. Rachel’s hats are so much better.

      • I used to think that Hat Queen was just being picky and not very nice to Angela Kelly. Now I also see how different Rachel’s hats are and how much more flattering they are on the Queen.

      • I agree with you. The hats made by Rachel have much nicer brims and a nicely shaped top. I am starting to see the difference too!

    • Well I still like some of the hats made by Mrs. Kelly. She shore makes them a little different and that’s nice to see.
