King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden visited Kolmårdens zoo this morning to see brand new elephant calf, Namsai (the calf’s mother, an elephant named Bua, was a gift to the Swedish royals from Thai King Bhumibol in 2004). Carl Gustaf was casually dressed in jeans and a fedora… although who really notices a hat when there’s a baby elephant in the house?!

Both th eking and queen looked very nice, I love Silva’s red coat and scarf, great color for the fall season. The king, yes he did look rather dashing there, he looked more relaxed then usual. I see a slight smile on his face and most of the time he doesn’t smile.
That jacket lifts up the casual look, but he looked great, and that baby elephant is just adorable! Like that hat on him too. Sorry , an afterthought!

You say the king was there? But there was the cutest baby elephant my eyes have ever seen. I bet he is ticklish.
