Princess Beatrix attended the official opening of the Burgemeester Walda community school in Ameland yesterday. Beatrix repeated the brown ombre hat with stacked crown and upturned brim (and large curled ribbon tails on the side) we have seen a few times before. These pictures yesterday were not great- peek at the previous wearing links below for a better look if you haven’t seen this hat before.

This hat looks wonderful with the Möbius bow at the back. It is interesting to note that her hat style is coming down (to earth) from the height of all the rolled-rim turban hats. Needless to say, I did love almost everything she tried. This hat gives her a more serious and sophisticate look.
How wonderful to see my favorite Queen B out and about, she looks absolutely wonderful. I love this hat, I love the colors of brown on her and it’s so in time with this time of year, fall colors. I think fall colors suit her and I like the curls on the back of the hat. I hope we see more of her in the future. Even though she is retired, it’s great seeing her. Miss her daily outings!
This is the first time I have seen this hat. I looked at the previous pictures of her wearing it and I just loved it. Normally I prefer brighter colors, but she looks lovely in brown as well. I enjoy seeing pictures of Princess Beatrix wearing her hats. She seems to be such a nice lady.
