  1. Thanks for these updates HatQueen. This Week’s Extras was an excellent collection of royal news stories as usual. My favourites were the article about Queen Elizabeth’s visit to the Jockey Club, (which I was surprised to see wasn’t included in the main blog), where she wore a lovely lavender outfit and hat, and the Swedish Royal Court’s new photograph of Princess Estelle, who is one of the most beautiful, joyful, confident and outgoing children I have ever seen. As others have already said, it is good that her family make sure she wears a helmet to ride her bike.

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed catching up on the regal gossip. Princess Estelle is such an adorable child. Where does she get all her confidence from? It can’t be easy being photographed so much and dealing with crowds when you are such a little girl. Well done the parents for making sure she gets into the habit of wearing a helmet to ride bikes and trikes.

  3. This Week’s Extras was a good read. HatQueen didn’t have to tell me that the hat Queen Elizabeth wore to the Jockey Club was by Rachel Trevor Morgan, as it was a stylish and distinctive hat, and definitely not an Angela Kelly design. I do wish the Queen would stick to Rachel Trevor Morgan, or try out some new milliners and stop wearing Angela Kelly hats. Princess Beatrix looked lovely in blue, though she wore another of her typical huge hats. Crown Princess Victoria’s blue cap was cute and it was so nice of her to pose with that girl. I liked Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s wooly colorful hat. Princess Estelle is adorable, and I’m so glad the Swedish Royals have concerns for her safety, as so many parents round where I live let their children ride bikes without helmets with a busy road nearby. And for that matter, Queen Elizabeth doesn’t wear a helmet when she goes horse-riding and often doesn’t wear a seat-belt. I worry about her safety, as balance can be impaired in old age, and in any case, I think she should set a better example!
