There have been so many royals out and about lately it’s hard to keep up! Royal Ascot, the Swedish Royal wedding, the birth of Prince Nicolas of Sweden, the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, the polo and many more! It’s a Royal Fiesta! It’s great to see Crown Princess Masako out and about, but sadly, hatless! Still there were plenty of other amazing hats and tiaras to compensate! Well done HatQueen for your comprehensive coverage of these events.
I can’t begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed reading all the recent HatQueen articles, especially the commentary by yourself and the three guest milliners on the Royal hats worn to Ascot. I enjoyed This Week’s Extras, especially Queen Silvia’s swirled aqua calot hat, and Princess Leonore’s floral headpiece. Queen Elizabeth looked lovely in her lilac, leaf trimmed hat by Philip Sommerville, and it is a great pity that he is deceased, because he made some of her more memorable hats. Royal News brought me joy especially seeing the Duchess of Wellington’s tiara for the first time.
