The Spanish Royal family attended the annual National Day Military Parade today in Madrid. As usual, King Felipe dressed in military uniform and cap. While Queen Letizia and the Infantas did not wear hats, it is lovely to see the family together.

Why don’t Spanish royals wear hats? I realize that it’s hotter in Madrid than in northern Europe, but reports are that today was in the 70s in Madrid.
Originally I thought simply that Queen Sofia disliked hats, but Queen Letizia is continuing the hatless tradition. ¡Qué lástima!
I agree with what Snug Harbor says: October 12, 2015 at 7:02 pm. What a shame the Spanish Royals don’t seem to want to wear hats.
The infantas are such pretty girls, especially Leonor.
And Hat Queen, would you think about doing a post about combs and mantillas, please? I love how elegant the ladies look wearing them. Thank you!
We’ve already talked about mantillas and peinetas at a few posts:

Thank you, Hat Queen – I remember some of these outfits but had not seen these posts and I appreciate the links and your hard work!
Beautiful elegant family.
